Tuxedo - Large - Senior - Male - Cat - Shahama

Quirky? That's Shahama! Shahama is an elderly tuxedo gentleman who was found wandering a highway outside Whitewater. He is deaf and partially blind and was completely unable to care for himself. He was nothing but skin and bones when he went into foster care. It took a lot of time and TLC, but he is now doing very well! He is a normal weight and eating very well. Shahama loves to be petted, but a little nervous if you hold him or try to carry him around. This is most likely from the deafness and partial blindness. If you let him come to you he loves to sit in your lap and be loved! Shahama is very nervous around other cats. Because of his special needs, it would be best for him to be the only animal in the home. There are other cats in his foster home so he took to living on top of the kitchen cabinets! (Remember we said 'quirky'!) His foster Grandpa built him a space all his own where he lives up high watching the foster kittens play. He is happy there, but would be happier in his own forever home with his own people and a place he didn't have to share with other animals! These cats have been spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested for FIV (feline AIDS) and FeLV (feline Leukemia), and microchipped and registered. We are a completely foster home based rescue. We will make arrangements for you to meet the cats as soon as we have approved your application.
