Marybeth is a self-taught artist who comes from a long line of professional artists. Her love for art began as a child when rather than play with toys, she would opt for a pencil and paper so she could draw. During high school, her involvement with theatre gave her the opportunity to paint backdrops which years later segued into professional mural painting. Once she became a mother she began to sketch and paint her children to capture those special moments; soon others began to commission her to paint portraits for them. In 1994 Marybeth began working out of her own art studio in Florida before relocating to Wisconsin in 2006, where she works as a professional artist full-time. She and her husband Deane now live in Beloit, WI. Her vision is to create inspirational works of art that bring enjoyment and lasting memories to those for whom it is created.

Painting from life and photographs, Marybeth produces true-to-life portraiture that captures the essence of the subject through watercolor and pencil mediums.
